Japan is a country like no other on earth. A complex and dynamic place full of traditions from the past but also the high-tech designs of the future Japan is an unforgettable travel experience. Why not spend the evening walking the streets of Tokyo enjoying the bright lights and hustle and bustle before heading off to one of the many fantastic restaurants. Or perhaps a day trip on the Bullet Train out to Mount Fuji combining the very new with the very old? You must visit the ancient capital Kyoto with its Unesco World Heritage Site status where you can experience the more traditional side of Japan such as the tea room with a Geisha guide or a traditional Onsen bath. You could visit the snow monkeys bathing in the hot springs in the Japanese Alps or relax on an island in Okinawa. Japan offers a truly intriguing experience for the traveller.
Highlights
Tokyo - the biggest city in Japan and a high-tech vision of cities of the future, Tokyo is bright, busy and very exciting.

Kyoto - this is the capital of Japan and was the ancient royal capital too. It has many important historic sites and is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Filled with temples, a castle and shrines it sits surrounded by mountains and is remarkably well preserved with the traditional Japan very much in evidence.

Mount Fuji - There are beautiful lakes and hot springs to visit at the foot of the volcano in the national park and it is an iconic image of Japan not to be missed.

Miyajima Island - this is a tiny island off Hiroshima and sacred to both Shinto and Buddhist religions. A beautiful and tranquil place to visit and a designated national treasure.

Hiroshima - famous for being the target of the first atomic bomb this city is now a centre for world peace. It was rebuilt as a very attractive garden city with a memorial park and musuem dedicated to the thousands who died by the bomb.
